RGDA/ATA Appoints New Safety Trainer
The Retail Gasoline Dealers Association and the Automotive Trades Association are pleased to announce that Mr. Richard Pelley will assume responsibility for Safety Training within the Automotive Industry in Nova Scotia.
Mr. Pelley has been associated with the Transportation Industry for 35 years and is president of Summit (OHS) Solutions. Mr. Pelley’s company provides certified training on St. John Ambulance First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Occupation Health and Safety regulation compliance.
Currently, Richard’s company provides Safety Training for the Nova Scotia Trucking Association and Richard states “their claim to fame is to be able to develop tailor made training for their clients”.
As the Automotive Service and Repair Industry in Nova Scotia continues to respond to new OHS regulations and legislative requirements, Mr. Pelley will certainly be welcomed to assist employers with safety programs.
RGDA Executive Director Graham Conrad states “it is increasingly more important for employers to find innovative ways to address safety issues within the work place. What better way to start than have a certified safety trainer such as Mr. Pelley come to a work place, do an assessment, get the entire staff on board, develop a plan and then provide follow up support.
