Retail Gasoline Dealers Association
The Retail Gasoline Dealers Association is the oldest incorporated Automotive Industry Association in Nova Scotia.
In 1948, the RGDA of NS was founded and at that time there were 78,691 vehicles registered in the province.
Since incorporation there have been three Executive Directors namely, Donald MacGregor 1948-1980, Dale Mader 1980-1996, and currently Graham Conrad 1996-to date.
The Association is managed by an Executive and Board of Directors.
The Association has a long and proud history of outstanding member participation at the Executive level.

The Association has always played an active role throughout the province by helping retailers achieve success. Some examples of Industry support include government liaison, technical and non-technical training initiatives, business counseling, scholarship awards, annual conference, trade show, golf tournament, awards evening and communications meetings. As well, the Association provides benefits such as legal counseling, insurance programs, safety certification program, newsletter, credit collection services and more.
The RGDA of NS Mission Statement is as follows:
- To promote high ethical business and professional standards.
- To improve economic welfare through education, training, communication and legislative representation.
- To provide members with information beneficial to the successful operation of their business.
